- Better Visibility: HORUS has much better perception in all-weather conditions using an array of sensors (e.g. especially at night with thermal imagery).
- Digital Route & Location Information: Our system monitors location, speed and route to minimise out-of-authority risks and aid earlier intervention.
- Real-time Monitoring & Alerts: AI processing can quickly monitor many routine data outputs on a locomotive and advise its assessment.
- Infrastructure Monitoring: HORUS can monitor the track for selected risks (e.g. track condition or foliage).
- Automated Event Reporting: Our system can log and replay data for investigative or process improvement.
The immediate business case for AI is not creating autonomous trains because train operators will be required for years yet in most applications.
